Choir

Music is a vital part of the worship life of Community in Christ, Presbyterian.  We believe the Zimbabwe proverb:  When you sing, you pray twice.  As a choir, we do not perform for the congregation; rather we offer the "Word in Music."

The choir at Community in Christ, Presbyterian is an inclusive, welcoming group open to anyone ages 9th grade through adult.  The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings and provides musical worship each Sunday during the Advent and Lenten seasons, and presents a Christmas and Easter cantata.  Other times of the year, the choir sings twice per month.  Musical styles are varied, from traditional to contemporary, classical to gospel.

Sundays when the choir is not singing, the "Word in Music" is offered by volunteers.  Again, the musical offerings are varied:  barbershop quartet, trumpet, flute, vocal solo, piano... even drums!
