Meet our Preschool Staff

Nanette Small - 4 and 5 year olds

Nanette is approaching her 20th year teaching at CIC,P! She is the assistant teacher in the Pre-K class with Carol Stout. She loves working with children because they make her laugh and feel happy every day. She and her husband love to Geocache and go camping and enjoy spending time with their 5 grandchildren.

Joy Thomas - Toddlers

Joy has been working at CIC,P for 5 years. She believes every child is a gift from God and should be loved and taught that they too are a blessed child of God. Joy enjoys spending time with her family and has been blessed with four wonderful children. She also loves music of all kinds, reading, and as a graduate of North Carolina State University, she loves the Wolfpack!

Nikki Patrick - 2 Year Olds

Nikki has been at CIC,P for 2 years but has been teaching in childcare for the past 10 years and teaching 2 year olds for four years. She believes children learn best through play. She tries to provide a safe and age appropriate environment to help them grow. When she is not in the classroom she enjoys watching sports with her husband and two beautiful children. Go Bears!

Keven Cockrell - 2 Year Olds

Keven is honored to help CIC,P's terrific two year olds explore the wonderful world God has created. She is the assistant teacher in the 2 year old classroom with Nikki Patrick and it is a very happy place to be! She began substitute teaching at CIC,P 2 years ago and has volunteered in Children's Ministries at CIC,P for sixteen years. Her son attended CIC Preschool and has grown up in the loving community of this church. She is thankful for her wonderful son and to be married to the most supportive man ever!

Belinda Blake - 3 year olds

Belinda loves children and she believes children should learn through play. Belinda has been a member of CIC,P for 26 years and the Director of Youth Ministries here at CIC,P for 10 years. She was a teacher assistant for 10 years at Brightwood Elementary and at CIC,P Preschool for 5 years before becoming lead teacher. Her children, Jan and Ashley, grew up in CIC,P and are members today.
