This is my 3rd year teaching at CIC I have a wonderful husband and two adorable kiddos. My son is in the three's class and my daughter, who also attended CIC, is in first grade.

I am originally from Winston-Salem, my husband and / moved to Forest Oaks in 2017, and we have two loving huskies, Anavi and Keelin. I'm looking forward to working with your child and giving them a safe, fun, and loving environment to grow!

I am excited to be joining the CIC team! This is my 1st year teaching at CIC but between my daughter and son I have been connected to CIC for the past 5 years, as they both attended CIC Preschool. Before becoming a SAHM for the last 7 years, I worked in Pediatrics. I have been married for 9 years and am a huge dog lover! I have a beagle and golden retriever. I can't wait to work in the 2's and have an awesome year!

MRS. LAUREN

I moved back to Southeast Guilford county in 2018 and am so grateful to be raising my family in the same place 1 grew up. I have three children ages 15, 12 and 6 and they keep me very busy! I love having big kids now, but toddlers have always been my favorite. I am honored to teach and love your babies this year!

I moved to Pleasant Garden 2 years ago from NY where / was a toddler teacher in New Paltz, NY! I have two little kids and about to have our 3rd in December! I'm very excited to get to know your little one this year!

Mrs. Keven

Keven Cockrell found her church home at Community in Christ when her son began attending CIC Preschool. She quickly became involved in children’s ministry and now joyfully teaches toddlers in the preschool while serving through Children’s Ministry, Community Outreach, and Community Life. With a passion for Vacation Bible School, Keven is honored to serve as a Ruling Elder and represent the children of the church and community.

I joined the CIC teaching team during the 23-24 school year. Before working at the preschool, I was in the zoo field for 15 years. I worked with all kinds of exotic animals.

MRs. Katie

I joined the teaching staff at CIC in 2025.. I love working with all the children here! Before teaching at CIC, I was a SAHM, and I previously taught elementary school for 5 years. I have a degree in Elementary Education from UNCC. When I am not at school, I am spending time with my 3 children or working in my garden. I am looking forward to getting to know and love your children! This is going to be the best year!

Hi! My name is Roxana Torres, and I am thrilled to be heading into my fourth year at CIC. I can’t wait to spend the year learning, playing, and growing with your child in the Pre-K classroom.

Outside of school, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family—whether we’re taking walks with my husband, our two daughters, Kira and Elise, and our dog, Spice. In my free time, I love to draw, crochet, read, and listen to music.
